Greyscale Colouring Tutorialby ~x-ste-x

I've not been able to paint the last few days so I decided to try and write up some sort of basic tutorial on how I colour from a greyscale image.

I'm still learning myself so I find it quite hard to give advice but hopefully a few people my find something of help in there.

Feel free to leave me a comment if there is anything you don't understand and I'll do my best to help out. Also I may do some more tutorials in the future so if there's anything you'd like me to cover let me know.

Dude, I really have to thank you for this tutorial.

This helped me so much to get better.

I hate it to work with colors first and I had not found a good way to get color to a greyscale image, but after I worked the way of this tutorial my pictures became better and better every day.
This is the first tutorial that make really sense.
All other Greyscale-color tutrial are very confusing to me...

I think I painted it over a couple of days, maybe around 6-7 hours in total.

Wow this was a great tutorial.

I always get as far as the basic color wash but now thanks to your steps I should be able to go further... :)
